 Commemorative coin issued to celebrate the birth of Guru Nanak

On Tuesday, Pakistan government issued a commemorative coin to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanank.

Last week, Pakistan’s capital Islamabad and New Delhi signed an agreement to let Sikh pilgrims to visit Gurudwara Kartarpur Sahib via Kartarpur corridor. According to the agreement, the pilgrims will not require visa for the visit.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate the corridor on November 9, three days before the event celebrating Guru Nanak’s birth.

The Sikhs visiting next month will be able to buy the Rs50 coin. Postage stamps with an image of the Gurdwara Janam Asthan will also be issued for Rs8.
