Coke Studio recently released Atif Aslam’s recitation of Asma-ul-Husna, a soulful rendition that is already winning hearts around the internet.
According to a press release, “Asma-Ul-Husna is an ode to the unwavering human spirit, an expression of spiritual healing and nourishment, and reassurance of better times ahead.”
The 3 and a half minute track is on Allah’s 99 attributes. Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan alias Xulfi created the recitation, while Asim Raza directed the video.
Melvin Arthur, a virtuoso Quetta singer, has collaborated with singers from around the world to design the arrangement of the choirs.
Starting with the sound of a black hole crash, and accompanied by the echoes of “Jesus” from Makkah ‘s famous Azaan, the recitation also includes vocal acapella, performed by 24 artists at home and in project studios across Pakistan.
The track also reveals a special duff arrangement, as the grand ensemble reverberates in a wide room. Finally, the entire composition comes together smoothly in Aslam’s vocals reciting the powerful lines.
Within six hours on YouTube, the recitation video has already caught the attention of thousands of social media users with over 400,000 views.
Previously Aslam produced two masterpieces for Coke Studio, Tajdaar-e-Haram and Wohi Khuda Hai, which were equally soul-stirring and passionate expressions of divine devotion.
