Coaster accident in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 23 people killed
A 40-seater passenger coaster met with an accident in the Sudhnoti area of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday (today) leaving 23 people killed and at least eight are injured.
As per the details, the bus fell into the ravine which resulted in a fatal accident and caused 23 deaths. The public transport bus was on the way to Rawalpindi from Sudhnoti but just after mere kilometers of the travel, the bus experienced a fault in the vehicle.
Witness reports that the bus first went out of control and hit the mountain with speed and then after acceleration of a few meters, the bus fall down into the thrutch. Locals rushed to the incident place to try to rescue the people and shift injured people to the hospital.
As per media reports, the deceased 23 people dead bodies shifted to Tehsil Hospital Balouch while the injured were shifted to District Hospital in Kotli. It is said that some of the injured are in critical condition.
Earlier in September, five people were killed and more than 20 others were injured in a collision between a passenger bus and a trailer near Nooriabad on the Super Highway.
According to rescue sources, the bus was going from Karachi to Khairpur when it met with an accident near Nooriabad on the Super Highway.
Women and children were also among the injured in the accident. The dead and injured belong to the Ancholi area of Karachi.
According to rescue sources, the injured have been shifted to Kotri Taluka Hospital.
Police said that the accident took place near Nooriabad on the Super Highway. took place due to the negligence of the bus driver. The passengers of the affected bus were on their way to visit holy places in Sindh.
