CNG stations reopen after 13 days across Sindh

KARACHI: Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations have reopened across Sindh after a 13-day shutdown on Monday.
Two LNG gas fields were shut down due to annual repairs, leading to gas shortages that led to the closure of CNG stations, said a spokesperson of the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
Engro’s LNG terminal was also closed for annual repairs during the gas crisis. Due to the efforts of the government, the annual repair of Engro terminal was completed ahead of time.
On the other hand, consumers have complained against CNG pumps for charging Rs16 per kg above the price fixed by the government. The CNG station operators said that the price was increased due to surge in sales tax.
