CNG in Sindh going on a long vacation
SSGC spokesperson has announced on Monday (today) that Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations across Sindh province will be closed for 2 and a half months.
To cope up with the shortage of gas during the winter season, CNG stations will be closed from December 1, 2021 till February 15, 2022.
The decision has been made so that domestic consumers can get an abundant supply of gas. The statement of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) read, “The CNG stations being closed to ensure gas supply to the domestic consumers.”
Earlier, Energy Minister Hammad Azhar mentioned that the domestic consumers will receive gas supply three times a day.
Domestic consumers will receive a supply of gas during the times of breakfast, lunch, and dinner for cooking purposes, mentioned Hammad Azhar.
Pakistan is facing a gas shortage crisis as the winter season approaches. Gas becomes one of the most important commodity during the winter season as Pakistani citizens use heaters and geysers to cope up with the decreasing temperature.
