CM Sindh reduces ‘petrol quota’ of ministers, bureaucrats by 40%

Following the recent hike in prices of petroleum products, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has reduced the ‘petrol quota’ of ministers and bureaucrats by 40%.
The Sindh Chief Minister’s Spokesperson has confirmed that the petrol quota of provincial ministers and bureaucrats has been reduced by 40%.
Spokesperson of Sindh Chief Minister said that reduction of petrol quota would not be a burden on the public exchequer but the burden would be lessened.
The Chief Minister Sindh said that the burden of rising petrol price should not be borne by the public exchequer as imposing burden on the public exchequer means increasing the burden on the people.
Yesterday, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail had announced an increase in the price of petrol and diesel by Rs30 per liter, while the price of petroleum products has been increased by Rs60 per liter in one week.
