CM Parvez Elahi holds crucial meeting in Rawalpindi ahead of PA dissolution

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi held a crucial meeting in Rawalpindi ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s announcement of the date for the dissolution of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies, sources said.

CM Elahi traveled to Rawalpindi on Friday evening where he held an important meeting.

After returning to Lahore at night, he consulted with party leaders on the prevailing political situation.

Parvez Elahi has advised Imran Khan to not dissolve the assemblies yet as he does not want the Punjab Assembly to be dissolved.

The PML-Q leader also took Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain into confidence. Shujaat is advising Parvez on national affairs.

On the other hand, Moonis Elahi has convinced several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders to delay the dissolution of Punjab Assembly, sources added.

It should be noted that, PTI Chairman Imran Khan will announce the date for dissolving the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assemblies’ today (December 17) while addressing a Jalsa via video link at Liberty Chowk in Lahore.
