KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Friday updated the nation on coronavirus situation in Sindh.
Giving updated statistics of last 24 hours in a video message from his office, the Sindh chief minister said total 12,209 tests had been conducted including, 586 new tests, and total 1,214 tests had turned positive, including 86 new positive cases. He said one new death had taken place in last one day rising the tally to 22.
While, total number of 358 people have recovered since outbreak of the viral infection in the province, including nine fresh recoveries, he maintained.

CM Murad said 521 patients with minor symptoms had been isolated at their homes, 35 with prominent symptoms at government isolation centres and 278 with serious symptoms at hospitals.
“The death that took place in last 24 hours is of my brother in law Syed Mehdi Shah at the age of 52,” he said.
Murad Shah said his brother in law had tested positive for the virus on Mar 8 and he was admitted to a hospital for treatment. He had won the fight against coronavirus as his test had come negative on Mar 29, however he lost his life fighting the deteriorated health condition as a result of the viral disease, he added
He asked people to abide by the government laws as they were enacted for saving our lives.
