CM Elahi tells PTI to stop vilifying Gen (retd) Bajwa

Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has bashed his ally Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for vilifying former army chief saying, “PTI should not be ungrateful, Gen Bajwa gave many favours to us and the PTI. These favours should not be forgotten.”
In conservation with private news channel, Punjab CM said that former army chief has done a lot to manage the country’s economy as he brought the money from brotherly countries.
“The PTI should not forget the favours given to it by Gen Bajwa; he helped them, he held meetings with Mohammad bin Salman, brought money from Qatar, handled the IMF matters in Belgium; he is Imran’s benefactor too,” Elahi added.
CM Punjab once again reiterated that he owed the Punjab Assembly to Imran Khan and he had returned his debt to him.
“I will support all of Imran Khan’s decisions. I owed the Punjab Assembly to Imran Khan,” he said.
CM Elahi revealed that before the Imran’s address to announce the dissolution of assemblies, he and PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi has asked him to not speak against the Gen (retd) Bajwa.
“When Imran Khan was sitting together and talking against Gen Bajwa, it felt very bad. Now if this happens, the whole party including me will speak. We would counter propaganda against the general,” he said.
Responding to question, Punjab CM revealed that General (retd) Faiz Hameed was strongly against them and did injustices to PML-Q.
Recalling his memories, the PML-Q leader said that his party was supporting Gen Bajwa over the matter of his extension. Meanwhile, Gen Faiz directed the chief of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to arrest him and his son Moonis Elahi.
