Clifton’s KPT underpass, which was submerged in Karachi’s monsoon rains, is temporarily closed.

According to the traffic police, the action was taken keeping in view the safety of precious human lives.

Traffic police officials say a technician is being consulted while traffic is being diverted to alternative routes.

It should be noted that concerns were also expressed on social media about the strength of the underpass.

The Clifton underpass, including various underpasses in the city, was completely flooded during the August 27 torrential rains in Karachi.

Many days have passed since the rains in the city but there is still water in most areas which is affecting the flow of traffic.
