Citizens have completely ignored the guidelines issued by NCOC to avoid the coronavirus.

Despite the mandatory wearing of masks by citizens after the start of the second wave of Corona in the country, the decisions of the NCOC have not been implemented.

The National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has made it mandatory for citizens to wear masks and has decided to impose a fine on those who do not wear masks.

Despite the decision of the NCOC and the government, SOPs in other cities including Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore and Peshawar are almost non-compliant.

In markets and other places, SOPs are being kept on the sidelines while a large number of citizens are roaming around without masks and there is no social distance.

Deputy Commissioners in Karachi have been directed to strictly enforce SOPs but hand sanitizers have not been placed in shops and stores and citizens are also shopping without masks.

Similarly, in other small and big cities including Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar, citizens are not using masks to avoid corona.

Fines have been imposed in Karachi and other cities for non-use of masks by citizens, while some shops in Karachi have also been sealed.
