CII terms few sections of NAB ordinance ‘non-Islamic’
ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, the Islamic Ideology Council (CII) declared few sections of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to be non-Islamic.
CII chairman Qibla Ayaz, speaking to the media, said that NAB parts 14D, 15A and 26 do not suit Islamic ways.
To Islam, he said, there is no definition of consent and plea bargain.
Earlier, in response to the statement made by the CII president, Fawad Chaudhary, Minister of Science and Technology, said the council never provided guidance on any issue.
It is beyond understanding to spend millions of rupees on such institutions, he added.
The minister also called for the Council of Islamic Ideology to be restructured.
