Chinese ambassador assures full medical assistance to NDMA Chairman

Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing called on the Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal to discuss the current pandemic and locust situation.
The Chinese ambassador, speaking at the event, expressed concern about the rising number of patients with viruses in Pakistan. He assured the aid to free Pakistan from that deadly disease.
Yao Jing said China will supply additional sprayers and chemicals to eliminate locusts.
Chairman NDMA learned of the plasma machine requirement in Pakistan from the Ambassador. He expressed gratitude to the Chinese Government and people for extending complete cooperation in these tough times.
Balochistan is the province most affected by the attack at the locusts, according to the NDMA.
Swarms of locusts assaulted fruit orchards in the Sibi, Loralai and Khuzdar districts of Balochistan.
The locusts also destroyed crops in the Kech district of tehsil Dasht, and the Gwadar areas of Pasni, Kalanch and Nagor.
In addition, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Pakistan has risen to 132,405 in the last 24 hours, after reported identification of 6,472 new infections.
