China to confer ‘Friendship Award’ on Pakistani scientist
The renowned medicinal chemist, Dr M Iqbal Choudhary will be receiving a ‘Friendship Award’ from China in March 2021, as he contributed to the economic and social development of Guangxi, an autonomous region in China.
The people’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang decided to honour Dr Choudhary with ‘Golden Silk Ball Friendship Award’.
The award is mainly for the experts who have worked for the country’s social and economic wellbeing. Moreover, the award includes a medal and RMB100, 000 bonus, which is more than $15,000.
Furthermore, Dr Choudhary has been awarded by different governments of Pakistan with the Hilal-e-Imtiaz, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for his achievements.
