BEIJING: Tensions between China and the United States have risen, with China reacting to a US order to close the Chinese consulate in Houston. China has ordered the closure of the US consulate in Chengdu.

According to the details, China has revoked the license of the US Consulate in the city of Chengdu. Foreign media say that the US Consulate in Chengdu was built in 1985 where 200 people work. The Chinese consulate in Houston, Texas, was ordered to close.

Tensions between the two countries have risen since orders to close each other’s consulates, while the Chinese Foreign Ministry has called the US move inappropriate, saying the Chinese move is an appropriate response to the US inappropriate move. ۔

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the situation between the United States and China, which China never wanted, was the responsibility of the United States for the current state of relations between the two countries.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry has also demanded that the United States immediately reverse its decision to improve the situation.
