Child falls from sixth floor and survives
In a terrible incident in China, a toddler luckily survived a fall from sixth floor of an apartment.
A female staff member of the condominium noticed the three-year-old boy dangling from balcony of the apartment at about 4:00pm in Chongqing.
Staff members and the residents rushed to the point where the boy was expected to fall with a large blanket. They encircled the place with a white blanket held out in their hands tightly and unsure if they could be able to save the boy after he will lose his grip. Miraculously, the kid sustained no injuries.
In the video footage, the boy can be seen falling with muzzle velocity directly into the blanket. A neighbor immediately took him to a hospital for medical checkup.
Police said the child was alone at home as his granny had gone for grocery shopping when he wandered out onto the balcony, the BBC reported.
“I looked up and saw a little child was dangling up there. My first reaction was to find something to catch him. I thought about rushing over there and catch him with my bare hands, but that would not have worked.
“I held out the blanket, along with the others, while looking at the child. My only thought was to keep him safe,” Zhu Yanhui, a staff member told the UK-based news channel.
