Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday (today) had a meeting with the Group CEO of Daraz, Bjarke Mikkelsen in PM House.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has called the CEO of the e-commerce platform, Bjarke Mikkelsen for a meeting in PM House.
The meeting was attended by the Adviser to the PM on Finance Shaukat Tarin, PM Special Assistant on e-commerce Aon Abbas Bappi, Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) Chairman Amir Hashm and Daraz Ehsan Saya managing director.

Imran Khan assured that the current government is keen and providing support to foreign investors. The government has set up a policy for ease of doing business in Pakistan to attract foreign investors in the country.
PM has stated that e-commerce has huge growth potential in Pakistan. The e-commerce sector will also contribute to the economy by creating employment opportunities.
CEO of Daraz said that their firm is ready to invest more in the e-commerce sector of Pakistan to expand it further more.
Daraz is the leading e-commerce platform in Pakistan which was founded back in 2012. The Alibaba Group later acquired the company in 2018. Currently, Daraz is operating in multiple countries including Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
