Centuries old coins, statues recovered from village of last king of Lodhi dynasty in Pakistan
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Hundreds of years old coins and statues have been recovered from village of last king of Lodi dynasty in Pakistan.
Kotla Lodhian in Dera Ismail Khan is ancestral village of Ibrahim Lodi. The statues and coins dating back to 1840 were recovered during excavation work.
Headmaster of Government Primary School, Kotla Lodhian, Muhammed Asif said that he was digging land adjacent to the school building for seasonal plantation and he found some jewelries and statues of Ahoka’s era and coins of 1840, British era.
He said he had preserved the coins and other articles and if any national or international organization wanted to inspect and investigate it, then he could hand the articles over to them.
