Sabiha Khanum, Pakistan’s first lady in the film industry, took her last breath on Sunday.
She had suffered from kidney and heart problems along with several other illnesses, according to her family.
Khanum was born in Gujarat, on October 16, 1935. Between 1950 to 1990, she was active in the film industry, during which she had several hit films.
Actors, singers, and politicians have taken to social media platforms to mourn the late actor.
Some of her great works include Dewar Bhabi, Gumnam, Sarfarosh and Dulla Bhatti. She has also appeared in several TV dramas. She starred opposite her husband in most of her films, the late Santosh Kumar (Syed Musa Raza). They were considered by the public for a long time as the dream pair of the film industry and had a huge fan following them.
Khanum won the Nigar Award for her excellent performance in Pakistani cinema.
