Celebrities condemn Faisalabad’s sexual assault incident
Pakistani celebrities strongly condemned the brutal incident of sexual assault, humiliation and torture of a dentistry student that happened in Faisalabad and asked netizens not to circulate the victim’s video.
From Ahsan Khan to Ushna Shah, Pakistani celebrities are shaken to the core by the incident of sexual assault incident happened in Faisalabad. The showbiz industry demanded justice for an innocent girl and also requested the social media user not to share the victim’s video.
Taking to Instagram, Ahsan Khan expressed his anger and wrote, “Rather than sharing the viral video of a young woman who was brutally tortured and humiliated for refusing this lowlife’s proposal. it’s better to shame the culprit and the woman who was filming all this”.
Actress Ushna Shah sends a prayer to the victim that may she heals from this traumatic incident. The actress wrote, “My darling sister Khadija if you are reading this. YOU are not who has been shamed, it is the monsters who did this to you. May you heal from this trauma and come out stronger than ever. Sending all of my love to you. #justiceforkhadija”.
Social activist Muniba Mazari also raised her voice and feel sad about the increasing crime rate of sexual abuse in our country. She stated, “every day a new name, a new hashtag. This vicious cycle of torture & ugly display of power seems never-ending. I’d request everyone to please hide Khadija’s face! And to the perpetrators (both men & women) May you rot”.
Veteran actress Samina Peerzada also questioned the injustice system of our country.
Actor Bilal Qureshi appreciated the police’s efforts for arresting the culprits of the incident but also requested not to circulate the girl’s video by stating, “Mazloom ko nahi zalim ko viral karo”.
Actor Ahmed Ali Butt reminded Noor Mukadam’s case and said such heinous incidents become a normal and ugliest reality in our country.
