CCTV footage shows DPO Gujrat directing SHO to record ‘confession video’ of Imran’s alleged shooter
CCTV footage of Wazirabad Police Station showed that DPO Gujarat Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah directed the Station House Officer (SHO) to record the ‘confession video’ of suspect Naveed Basheer, who was arrested by the Punjab Police soon after he shot former prime minister Imran Khan.
The confession video of suspect Naveed Bashir was recorded in the room of RPO Gujarat.
It can be seen in the CCTV that DPO Gujarat hands over his mobile phone to the SHO and then he filmed the confession of prime suspect.
The SHO returned the mobile phone to the DPO after recording the statement of the accused. In the video, the suspect Naveed is not seen while recording the statement.
The footage is dated November 3, 2022 and recorded at 5:28pm, the same day when PTI Chairman Imran Khan was attacked in Wazirabad.
Earlier a day, addressing a press conference, PTI senior vice-president Fawad Chaudhary revealed that three attackers were involved in the Wazirabad’s assassination attempt on party chairman Imran Khan.
The incident:
Thirteen people, including former prime minister Imran Khan and other party leaders, were injured and a party worker was killed in a gun attack on the PTI chief’s container as his convoy reached Wazirabad’s Allah Wala Chowk on November 03.
Khan escaped with four bullets wound to his right and left leg when a gunman sprayed pistol fire at his modified container truck as it slowly drove through a thick crowd in Wazirabad, around 170 kilometres (100 miles) east of Islamabad.
