GUJRANWALA: A case has been filed against four Pakistan Muslim League-N leaders including Rana Sanaullah for alleged attempted murder of a police official.
Former federal minister Khurram Dastagir, MPA Imran Khalid Butt and Salman Khalid are also nominated in the case along the Punjab PML-N president.
The FIR read that Rana Sanaullah tried to run over his vehicle on a police official on the day of public gathering of the Pakistan Democratic Movement in Gujranwala.
The FIR was lodged at Satellite Town police station by Sub Inspector Asghar Hussain.
On the flip side, a case was lodged against the PML-N leaders for violation of laws during the Gujranwala public gathering of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
The case was lodged at Shahdara police station in Lahore against violations of the Standard Operating Procedures of COVID-19 and the Punjab Sound Act.
Sections regarding creating troubles for masses by blocking main arteries have also been included in the FIR, which read that containers were placed at Shahdara roundabout to suspend vehicular traffic without permission because of which the citizens had to face trouble.
The FIR has nominated PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, her husband Capt (retd) Muhammad Safdar Awan, Malik Riaz, Samiullah Khan, Malik Pervez, Ali Pervez Malik, Bilal Yaseen, Samiullah, Saifulmalook Khokhar and thousands of N-league workers.
