LAHORE: A case has been lodged against the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leaders for violation of laws during the Gujranwala public gathering of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
The case was lodged at Shahdara police station in Lahore against violations of the Standard Operating Procedures of COVID-19 and the Punjab Sound Act.
Sections regarding creating troubles for masses by blocking main arteries have also been included in the FIR, which read that containers were placed at Shahdara roundabout to suspend vehicular traffic without permission because of which the citizens had to face trouble.
The FIR has nominated PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, her husband Capt (retd) Muhammad Safdar Awan, Malik Riaz, Samiullah Khan, Malik Pervez, Ali Pervez Malik, Bilal Yaseen, Samiullah, Saifulmalook Khokhar and thousands of N-league workers.
The FIR said that the rally was addressed by coming out of vehicles without government’s permission and incendiary speeches were made against the government and state institutions.
