PESHAWAR: Husband of Maryam Nawaz and Pakistan Muslim League-N
(PML-N) leader Muhammad Safdar Awan has alleged that Adviser to Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar, the chairman National Accountability Bureau and DG NAB Lahore attempted to kill him.
According to Safdar, Shahzad Akbar and the NAB chairman were behind the murder attempt on him and his wife.
He further revealed that he had filed a case on 3rd August in Lahore and on 12th October in Peshawar last year against them.
Moreover, Safdar has appealed to the government to provide him security in Peshawar, as the chairman of accountability watchdog posed a life threat to him.
“Chairman of the NAB is a very stubborn person, he needs a psychiatric treatment,” said Safdar.
He further added that, “Javed Iqbal has started unjustified inquiries against him. He has asked me about properties which were bought in 1872.”
