“Can’t wait to meet my father,” Maryam Nawaz leaves for London
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Wednesday left for London, after the Lahore High Court returned her passport, to meet her father and PML-N supremo Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif.
Maryam Nawaz, while talking to journalists on arrival at Lahore Airport, said, “I can’t wait to meet my father after 3 years.”
Maryam Nawaz has also booked a ticket to return after a month on November 6, but family sources said that she may stay in London for 3 months.
Maryam Nawaz will meet her father Nawaz Sharif after 3 years, her last meeting with her father was on 19th November 2019 when Nawaz Sharif was leaving for London due to health issues.
Maryam Nawaz will meet her brothers Hasan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz after almost 5 years, she last met her brothers on 13 July 2018 when she arrived in Pakistan along with her father to serve the sentence in Avenfield reference.
Maryam Nawaz’s husband Captain (retd) Safdar said at Lahore Airport that Maryam Nawaz endured state persecution, she will face her cases by own.
During her visit to London, Maryam Nawaz will visit her father and supervise his treatment, while detailed consultations will be held on the political situation.
According to family sources, Maryam Nawaz will probably return Pakistan with father Nawaz Sharif.
Earlier on October 3, The Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered to return the passport of PML-N vice president Maryam Nawaz, seized by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in a corruption case.
Yesterday, Maryam Nawaz received her passport back after 3 years from registrar office at Lahore High Court.
