‘Can’t exclude possibility of Pakistani fighters on ground,’ says Armenia on war with Azerbaijan

In a big development, Armenia has said that it “can’t exclude the possibility” of Pakistani fighters on the ground fighting along with “mercenaries operating in Azerbaijan”.
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts said “It will not be a surprise to us,” recalling how in the 1990s Pakistani nationals were present when the war broke out in Nagorno-Karabakh.
He also criticized Turkey for sending jihadists to Azerbaijan, explaining that “this imposed or provoked war” had been “well planned jointly with Turkey”.
Clashes have erupted between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the past few days over Nagorno-Karabakh region leaving several dead and fears of spillover.
