Call off all plots allotted to judges and bureaucrats, Islamabad High Court

ISLAMABAD: All plots allotted to judges and bureaucrats in Islamabad have been canceled. Islamabad High Court (IHC) has given its verdict.
According to reports, the Islamabad High Court has made a big decision. The scheme of plots in special sectors for judges, bureaucrats and officers has been declared unconstitutional. The decision said that the schemes of Sector F12, G12, F14 and F15 are unconstitutional, illegal and against public interest.
Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, while delivering a safe verdict, said that the land of the state was not for the elite. Judges and bureaucrats are the caretaker and guarantor of real stakeholders i.e. citizens. Judges, bureaucrats, public office holders cannot formulate a policy of self-interest against the public interest. The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority cannot make any scheme against the Constitution. The decision directed the Secretary Housing to submit the decision to the Cabinet within two weeks and hoped that the Cabinet and the Prime Minister would formulate a policy in the public interest in all the four sectors.
