KARACHI: Business magnate and former president of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Siraj Kassim Teli breathed his last on Tuesday at the age of 67 in Dubai.
He was admitted to a Dubai hospital few days ago, where he passed away of pneumonia. He had gone to attend his son’s engagement ceremony in Dubai.
Ex-president KCCI Zubair Motivala said that Siraj Kassim was an asset of the country.
He used to raise voice for improvement of infrastructure of Karachi. He was conferred upon with Sitara e Imtiaz for his economic services. He had an important role in economic development of the country.
Agha Shahab said that he used to attend meeting of small traders even during coronavirus situation. He said that they would carry forward mission of Siraj Teli.
