Business leaders in Peshawar suggest relaxing lockdown restrictions as citizens worry
PESHAWAR: City-wide lockdown due to the coronavirus enters its seventeenth day today.
Representatives of business organizations in Peshawar have suggested the government to relax lockdown strictness. Instead of maintaining a lockdown, the representatives recommend taking precautionary measures.
The business representatives have also met with Chief Minister’s Information Minister Ajmal Wazir and Secretary Industries.
Time periods and precautions for opening businesses were also discussed at the meeting. Business-level patience should be observed when opening the ventures up, they recommended.
High-rise blockade and vehicle seizure has been on the rise in Peshawar ever since the lockdown. There has also been difficulty to shut down transport between the local and the district.
Many citizens are upset by the closure of OPD and medical services provided by the hospital.
