KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the business community has a significant role to play in the economy as it elevates wealth. He said that wealth creation can only be made possible by facilitating the business community and through ease of doing business.
Addressing the award distribution ceremony of Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi on Friday, the PM said the countries that prosper stand on two principles: justice and compassion.
He added, “The state of Madina also stood on these two principles and the more we concentrate on it, we will achieve a direction.”
He said, “A nation cannot prosper if there exists no wealth creation.”
He added that by assenting the amendment in NAB Ordinance, it has separated the business community from the NAB.
He said, “It is our need that business community flourishes in the country.”
The prime minister said that the government wants the people to create profits.
He mentioned that 2019 was a stabilizing year for the country.
Speaking on the occasion, Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance Hafeez Shaikh said that the government saved the country out of economic crisis by the leadership of Imran Khan.
He said that there has been a boost in investment in the country due to the effective policies of the government.
He maintained that measures have been taken to increase the imports and to improve the economy.
Hafeez said that the international organizations, including the IMF and World Bank have appreciated the government’s measures for economic growth.
He pointed out the government did face difficulties in the process of strengthening the country’s economy.
