Building in Lyari on the verge of collapsing, SBCA knows it

KARACHI: Lives of people are at stake as a building in Karachi’s Lyari area is on the verge of collapsing and the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) knows it.

The six-storey building is in extremely dilapidated condition and people are forced to demolish it on their own as SBCA officials have vanished after putting up the signboard of ‘very dangerous’ on the building. People believe that seeping stagnant sewage water and piles of garbage were weakening foundations of buildings in the Nayabad area.

This could cause a great tragedy as people involved in demolishing the building are not professional.
