British Royal couple’s visit will project positive image of Pakistan: Dr Firdous

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Tuesday said the British Royal couple’s visit to Pakistan will project the real and positive image of the country besides strengthening bilateral relations.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday, she said the Royal couple’s arrival in Pakistan after resumption of British Airways’ service to the country signified a new, bright and resolute Pakistan.
The special assistant said Pakistan was emerging as a beautiful and attractive destination for tourists.
She said Pakistan was a land of great cultural heritage and old civilization. The historical sites and the enchanting beauty of the northern areas made Pakistan unique, she maintained.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said Pakistan and its people welcomed the royal guests. She hoped that Prince William and Kate Middleton would have sweet memories of the visit.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are on a five-day visit to Pakistan, during which they would visit Islamabad, Lahore and the Northern areas of Pakistan.
The Royal couple appreciated the initiatives undertaken by the Pakistani government to combat climate change and to alleviate poverty.
They called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi separately in Islamabad.
The Duke of Cambridge thanked them for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and his entourage.
On Tuesday morning, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, visited the Model College for Girls in Islamabad.
The Royal Couple visited the school to highlight the importance of girls’ education. Kate Middleton wore a royal blue classic kurta with trousers and a dupatta.
