British prime minister terms China-India standoff very serious
LONDON: British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has urged India to engage in dialogue with China to sort out their border issues saying escalation in eastern Ladakh is a very serious and worrying situation.
The official statement of Johnson came during his weekly Prime Minister’s Questions in the House of Commons
China says responsibility for recent border clash between Chinese and Indian army personnel in Galwan Valley in Ladakh is on India.
Responding to Galwan Valley stand-off in Beijing, Chinese Defense Ministry said India should meet China halfway in easing the situation and contributing to peace and stability along the border..
Chinese in India being harassed
In India, Chinese are being harassed amid rising anti-China sentiment following the border clash in Galwan Valley.
Chinese living in India say it is unsafe for them to go out in public and have closed their shops amid a boycott that include anti-China graffiti and burning of Chinese flags.
