Bringing Muhajir leadership on one platform need of the hour: Wasay Jalil

LONDON: Former leader of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), currently living in self-exile in London, Wasay Jalil on Saturday said that bringing Muhajir leadership on one platform was the need of the hour.
“The exploitation by the Sindhi nationalists and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) of the residents of the province in 72 years is no secret,” said leader of the newly-formed party the Voice of Karachi (VoK) in a video statement.
The situation of progress in different sectors, whether it was education, health, economic stability or development affairs, was before us all, he said.
“PPP keeps hatching condemnable conspiracies every now and then to make Muhajir community in urban Sindh a third degree citizen, whether it is quota system, jobs, education or any other forum. You will find exploitation everywhere,” he maintained.
Wasay Jalil said Chairman Voice of Karachi Nadeem Nusrat had talked about grand alliance of Muhajir leaderships where the leaders would be gathered for one cause. Positive developments had been witnessed in this regard after establishing contacts by our members with different people, he relayed.
He said the VoK would soon apprise the masses about the next step. On media reports about his coming to Pakistan, he said they would definitely come to Pakistan from the platform of the VoK.
“Pakistan is our country. Our ancestors made it and no one can stop us from playing a role in its development,” he said.
