Boxer Amir Khan announces financial support for oppressed Palestinians
Pakistani-born British boxer Amir Khan has announced financial support for the Palestinian people oppressed by Israel.
Boxer Amir Khan wrote in a statement on Twitter that “what is happening in Palestine is very disturbing, who are constantly being abused”.
“My prayers are with the people of Palestine. Therefore I am pledging £50,000 towards the cause and encourage everyone to get behind this campaign.” He added.
Earlier, Israeli police once again raided Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem during which 17 Palestinians were injured.
According to a report by a foreign news agency, Israeli police stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday morning and targeted unarmed Palestinians, including children, while forces evacuated those inside the mosque.
Earlier in the day, Israeli forces stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, firing tear gas and rubber bullets at worshipers in the compound.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Service, 152 Palestinians were injured due to the barbarism of Israeli forces in the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
