Bollywood’s version of Nazia Hassan’s “Aap Jaisa Koi” receives backlash
Bollywood recreated one of the iconic songs of all time “Aap Jaisa Koi” by pop queen Nazia Hassan but once again received a severe backlash online for destroying memories attached to the song.
Pakistan’s Pop Queen Nazia Hassan’s iconic song “Aap Jaisa Koi” has been recreated for Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming film An Action Hero and the internet once again disapproved of the remix version.
The video, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Malaika Arora, dropped this Saturday. The two Bollywood stars grooving to the disco beats of the 1980s hit by Nazia Hassan that was originally sung for Zeenat Aman’s film Qurbani.
Fans, however, believed that it was “criminal” and “unnecessary” to recreate the extremely auto-tuned current remixed version. Social media users vented about how the Indian music business should quit “ruining classics” and instead concentrate on producing new music because the originals are still “unmatched.”
