ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday signaled a change of Prime Minister before constitutional amendment in Army Act to extend the tenure of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, media sources reported.
The PPP chairman stated this while addressing a press conference outside Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) after meeting his father Asif Ali Zardari.
Bhutto Zardari said that the PPP has decided to move court to seek bail for the party co–chairman Asif Ali Zardari on a medical basis.
According to sources, the bail plea will be filed on Tuesday (today).
He said that the medical board constituted by the government has identified diseases of Asif Zardari, however, the former president had not allowed them to file petition seeking his bail on a medical basis.
The PPP chairman said that Zardari has taken into account the request of his sister Aseefa Bhutto to move court for his bail. They will file a petition now.
Bilawal further said that his party won’t let go of their ideology, while adding that a rally would be held in Liaquat Bagh on December 27 to observe the death anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
