ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday released asset details of top politicians of Pakistan.
The ECP revealed that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the richest politician in the country followed by his father Asif Ali Zardari.
According to the top poll body, Prime Minister Imran Khan had declared his assets worth Rs108 million and he did not reveal value of his residence and said that the Bani Gala was received as a gift. He also owns four goats worth Rs50,000 and 150 acres of agricultural land. He has three foreign accounts including US dollar, Euro and Pound Sterling.
Imran’s wife, Bushra Bibi is an owner of a three kanal house in Bani Gala, 431 kanal land in Pakpattan and 266 kanal in Okara.
Former president Zardari owned assets worth Rs660 million including animals worth Rs10 million and arms worth Rs16.6 million as revealed by the electoral body.
Bilawal Zardari is the most affluent politician with assets worth Rs1.5 billion. He is also a partner in two villas in Dubai.
According to the ECP, Leader of the Opposition Shehbaz Sharif is owner of properties worth Rs189 million, whereas his two spouses, Nusrat Shehbaz and Tehmina Durrani, own assets worth Rs230 million and Rs5.76 million respectively.
Details of assets of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Rana Sanaullah reveal that they are owner of holdings worth Rs600 million and Rs66 million respectively.
Minister for Railways Shaikh Rasheed owns assets worth Rs35m. Senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader Khursheed Shah owns assets worth Rs60 million.
