“Beware of people looting from donations of flood affectees”, Ushna Shah
Actress Ushna Shah advises being careful with their donations as some people are also looting from the funds of flood affectees.
Taking to Twitter, Ushna Shah shared her happiness for the number of people who are coming forward and donating to the victims in flood-affected areas. But the actress said it is disheartening to see some people looting and profiting off this devastation. She also highlighted the inhuman act of increasing the prices of flood relief necessities.
The actress advises her followers that ‘make sure our donations reach the right people in real time’.
“Making sure they haven’t been looted or some leader hasn’t intimidated our peers ground into handing supplies over. A tragic time when everyone should be coming together to help & not exploit”, Ushna concluded.
The actress also educate people about the carbon emission percentage and suggested that there must be a carbon tax which will help our country to tackle the climate change calamity in future.
Ushna wrote, “Pakistan contributes less than 1% to the world’s co2 emissions yet we are 5th most affected by climate change. Where is the accountability? There MUST be a carbon tax and right now it must be used to help Pakistan”.
