Bella Vita and Cocochan sealed over questionable food quality
KARACHI: The Sindh Food Authority (SFA) has sealed two restaurants of Karachi due to poor hygiene of food.
According to the SFA deputy director operations south, the SFA has imposed a fine of Rs 200,000 on Belle Vita and Rs 400,000 on Cocochan for operating without food business licenses and for practices that violate SFA rules and SOPs under the Sindh Food Authority Act, 2016.
Moreover, the SFA officials revealed that they have found expired food products, unsafe storing spaces and poor hygiene.
Meanwhile, the restaurants have been given the time period of seven days to make improvements.
