Bannu imposes section 144 to curb spread of corona virus

BANNU: The Bannu district administration has imposed Section 144 in the city to curb the spread of covid-19.

According to Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Zubair Khan Niazi, the section has been imposed in order to “prevent danger to human life and disturbance of public peace and tranquility”.

However, the implementation will be from May 8 to June 8.

The deputy commissioner has issued instructions which revealed that a ban has been put on pillion riding and one-wheeling, on the display of weapons, possession of firecrackers and sale of toys resembling weapons

Moreover, ban has also been imposed on aerial firing, tinted glasses and vehicles without number plates.

The instruction also states that people can’t sit outside their buildings/houses or shops in groups.

The negligence in following the instructions would lead in punishment under Section 188 .
