ISLAMABAD: Visitors have been banned from entering airports across the country in view of the second wave of Coronavirus.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), domestic and international passengers will be dropped off only by the driver at the drop line, while drivers who pick up passengers will wait for them in their vehicles.
According to the CAA, wearing a mask has also been made mandatory within the premises of the airport.
It is believed that the intensity of the second wave of corona virus is increasing across the country.
In the last 24 hours, 1,123 new cases of corona virus have been reported in Pakistan and the total number of infected people has reached 335,093.
The coronavirus has killed 17 more people in Pakistan and brought the total death toll to 6,823.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, 12 deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours due to corona and the total number of deaths has reached 6,835.
In Pakistan, 315,016 patients of Corona have recovered and 13,242 are undergoing treatment.
The National Command and Operations Center has made it mandatory to wear a mask to prevent corona virus in Pakistan.
Citizens must wear masks when leaving their homes. Masks will be required for those working in government and private sector offices
