Most of Balochistan’s shopping malls, markets, and restaurants will remain closed for three weeks, the provincial government declared Friday.

The provincial home and tribal affairs department confirmed in a notification that the decision, taken at the COVID-19 core committee meeting, is effective immediately.

According to the notice, all inter-provincial public transport stays suspended for the next three weeks. Throughout this time, public transport busses inside the cities will also not be able to ply the roads.

Restaurants are not permitted to deliver food, however.

At least 81 identified coronavirus cases have been reported in Balochistan so far.

In Pakistan the virus killed three people and infected more than 480.
