Balochistan: Sculptor builds 16ft high statue of Edhi

Hailing from Mastung, Balochistan, the sculptor Ishaq Lehri has recently paid tribute to famous Pakistani philanthropist Abdul Sattar Edhi by building his 16ft to 17ft high statue.
The Edhi’s sculpture has been placed at Quetta’s Edhi Chowk. Lehri has told Dialogue Pakistan that he has been in this field for very long but due to limited resources he could never pursue his dream (of making Edhi’s statue).
Lehri says he wishes to make statues of other philanthropists such as: Dr Adeeb Rizvi and Dr Ruth Pfau for their humanitarian work.
Lehri demands that the authorities should build spaces for artists where they could practice and polish their art.
