Balochistan: Police Chief promises complete eradication of Terrorism
Quetta: Balochistan Police Inspector General while addressing senior police officers in a virtual meeting stated that the security culture needs be changed by the provision of adequate public service and crime control. IGP Muhammad Tahir Rai made his remarks about the current “Thana Culture” and police services promising to elevate the level of public services being provided at police stations.
He stated, “People look to us for their wellbeing so it falls on to us to treat them the best way possible to cultivate trust.” He also revealed plans to ensure rapid FIR registering processes and investigations being conducted on the basis of merit reducing the burden from the people who look towards the police for the provision of security.
The IGP also made remarks about the current terrorism situation in the region alleging proactive action against terrorist organizations and the parties who facilitate such outfits.
Moreover he further expressed that the peace in the region is being maintained by the constant sacrifices being made by our security personnel and we will not allow its disruption at any cost.
Mr. Rai also warranted official oversight for effective police patrolling, demanding strict attendance recording measures to ensure full security personnel availability at various police stations across the region.
IGP Muhammad Tahir Rai, also initiated a special drive under the supervision of DIGs for the swift arrests of infamous criminals and accused fugitives making it difficult for repeat offenders to be granted bails in court proceedings.
