The Government of Balochistan has agreed to supply Ramazan packages to all registered mosques in the province.
The development came after a Thursday meeting presided over by Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan. He advised authorities to plan the kit at the earliest opportunity.
It was also determined that federal government issued SOPs should be implemented strictly at all mosques.
All the people who breach these orders will be sent to the PCSIR Laboratory near Mian Ghundi, and the novel coronavirus will be checked there. Police and other security personnel have been told to ensure that these directives are put into action.
The chief minister has said the lockout in the province will continue. Until now Balochistan has reported 607 cases of COVID-19.
Multiple departments of government and civil society groups must provide funding for shopkeepers whose shops are on contract. Two months of rent will also be waived.
Police have also been directed to ensure that people are wearing masks, gloves and taking precautionary measures.
