Balochistan govt offers Senate seats to PDM: Sources

QUETTA: The government of Balochistan has offered four to six province-based Senate seats to the opposition alliance — Pakistan Democratic Movement, Dialogue Pakistan’s sources confirmed.
According to the sources, a meeting was held between the Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani and the members of opposition parties, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri (JUI-F) and Usman Khan Kakar (PKMAP).
Sadiq Sanjrani was representing the government alliance.
However, the PDM has called a meeting today at the house of Awami National Party’s Sardar Akhtar Khan.
A decision regarding the joint candidates for the upcoming Senate election will be taken in the meeting.
The Senate election on 52 out of the 104 seats will be held on 3 March.
