Following the increase in cases of coronavirus, Balochistan has prolonged its lockdown until May 19.
The extension was announced on Twitter by provincial government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani. He said the provincial government has agreed to extend the lockdown for another 15 days, due to the rapid rise in cases.
“The only medicine and solution so far has proven to be isolation, social distancing and lockdown. Hence Balochistan government has decided to extend lockdown for further 15 days till 19th May,” he tweeted.
Balochistan reported 103 new cases of coronavirus on Monday. In the province, the total number of cases of coronavirus is 1321.
