“Bail to anti-state element is threat to the nation,” says Murtaza Wahab
KARACHI: Sindh government spokesman Murtaza Wahab on Thursday has said that granting bail to the accused involved in anti-state activities is a threat to the entire nation.
Addressing a press conference with police officers in Karachi, Murtaza Wahab said that Allah Dino, accused in the Karachi Saddar blast, was arrested by law enforcement agencies last year but was granted bail by the court while the CTD had evidence that the accused is involved in terrorist activities.
“Those who are involved in anti-state activities and those who have anti-state provisions against them, if they are given bails, then it is a threat to us,” he said.
Murtaza Wahab further said that if there are serious allegations against someone then the bail policy should be looked into. The courts are requested to support the state in such cases.
In his press conference, the administrator said that the Counter Terrorism Department had evidences against a SRA terrorist Allahdino, adding that he was present at the site of the blast. “Yesterday tried to flee when officials raided to arrest him. He was killed in an encounter along with his associates,” he said.
The SRA, which has claimed responsibility for many terrorist attacks, was formed in 2010 by Syed Asghar Shah, an extremist Sindhi nationalist worker, originally a resident of Badah, District Larkana.
