Babar Azam slips to fourth position in ICC T20I rankings
Pakistan all-format captain Babar Azam dropped to fourth spot in the recent International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings for T20I batsmen.
Pakistan wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan retained the top spot in the latest T20I rankings.
Rizwan stands at 825 rating points after his consistent performance in the T20 Asia Cup 2022 and a responsible 68-run innings against England at the National Stadium on Tuesday.
Babar Azam has moved from third to fourth position after the below-par Asia performance.
South Africa’s Aiden Markram is on second spot, India’s Suryakumar Yadav is on third.
Australia’s Josh Hazlewood retains his first position among T20 bowlers.
Babar Azam, who scored only 68 runs in six innings of T20 Asia Cup 2022 and had a best of 30 in the competition, was dethroned by Mohammad Rizwan earlier this month.
